29 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING: <br />A PORTION OF UNNAMED ALLEY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF TURNPIKE <br />ROAD° <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James S. and Susan K. Eilberg and Joseph A. <br />Freeman have made application to vacate, close and dis- <br />continue the hereinafter-described portion of unnamed alley, <br />and it appearing that Notice of Application and reauest <br />for the appointment of viewers was duly posted March 16, <br />1979 on the bulletin board of the General District Court, <br />Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin <br />board of City Hall of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, L. A. <br />Clark, A. N. Kendrick, Charles Hudgins and James Griffin, <br />be appointed viewers and R. Irvine Smith be appointed an <br />alternate viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers <br />fail to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter- <br />described portion of such unnamed alley and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any, what inconvenience would result ±n vacating and <br />closing the following: <br /> <br /> UNN~4E~ ALLEY <br /> <br /> Beginning on the north side of <br />Turnpike Road in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, approximately 130' <br />west from its intersection with Con- <br />federate Avenue; thence northerly approxi- <br />mately 280' to a point; thence westerly <br />approximately 16' to a point; thence <br />southerly approximately 290' to the north <br />right-of-way line of Turnpike Road; <br />thence easterly approximately 16' along <br />said right-of-way to the point of origin. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held March 27, 1979. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
