<br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO LEASE CERTAIN
<br />CITY-OWNED PROPERTY TO THE PORTSMOUTH PORT AND INDUSTRIAL
<br />COMMISSION (PINNERS POINT).
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns certain hereinafter
<br />described property which is located within the area being
<br />developed for the port facilities of %he City of Portsmouth; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS~ Section 2~09(c) of the Charter of the City of
<br />Portsmouth provides that the City may lease property to the
<br />Commonwealth of Virginia, or any political subdivision thereof~
<br />without advertisement and without receiving bids~ and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Port and ind~s%riaI Con~ission is
<br />a political subdivision of the Con~onwealth of Virginia.
<br />
<br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
<br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and
<br />he hereby is, authorized to lease to the Portsmouth Port and
<br />Industrial Commission the following described property, to-wit:

<br /> All those certain lots, pieces or
<br />parcels of land, with the improvements
<br />thereon~ situate, lying and bein~ in the
<br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known~
<br />numbered and designated as Lots 288~
<br />289, 290, 291, 292, 293, 294~ 295, 296,
<br />297~ 298~ 299, 300, 301~ 302, 303, 304~
<br />305~ 306, 307~ 308, 309~ 310, 311~ 314,
<br />and 315 on the Plat of Pinners Point
<br />Waterfront Company recorded in the Clerk's
<br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City
<br />of Chesapeake, Virginia~ in Map Book 4,
<br />Pag~ 32.

<br /> All those certain lots~ pieces or
<br />parcels of land, situate, lying and being
<br />in the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, known,
