SIDE OF C~4MER~ STREET; A 15 FOOT AT,T,~Tf BE?WFT~T~ CO~/V~ERCE STREET i~J~D P~2LNDER ROAD~ A PORTION OF M3LRYLAND AV~iNUE; A PORTION OF SHEA COURT. WHEREAS, Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission has made a~upli- cation to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets, and it appearing that Notice of Application and the request for the appointment of vie~ers was duly posted on Ochober 9, 1979, on tb~ P~dlletin board of the Circuit Court, General District ~urt (Civil Division), and J~venile And Domestic Court for the City of Portsmouth, Virgir~a. Nm, THEP~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- ~outh, Virg~inia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, James V. Mmq~ee, Raymond Tweed, C. E. F~lis and Linon Yann be appointed viewers and that A. N. Ymndrick be appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the prececting view- ers fails to psrticipate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portions of such streets and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opanion, any, and if any, what inconveniences would result ~n vacating and closing the following: PkRCEL I That certain 15 foot alley which is described as follows: BEGIA~'ING on the south right of ,way line of ~ee Street 140 feet west of its intersection with Chautauqu.. a Avenue; thence running south 662 feet, more or less, to a point; thence running south~esterly 15 feet, more or less, to a point; thence ru~_ng northerly 665 feet, more or less, to a point on the southern right of way line of Com~_rce Street; thence running eastw~dly along the said right of way line 15 feet, more or less, to the said point of be~innLng. Also, that portion of a said alley %~hich is described as beginning on the northern right of way line of Commerce Street 140 feet west of its intersection with S Avenue; ~lence _~/krm. ing no!~/erly 254 feet, more or less, to the termination of said alley; thence running west 15 feet, more or less, to a point; thence rurknLng south 254.5 feet to a point on. the norkh- emn~ rmght o~ way line Of Ccamerce S~reet; and thence running east along the said right of way line 15 ~feet to the said point of beginnmng.
