A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE NORTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, NO. 1~ VA. R-39. WHEREAS~ this Council by resolution adopted August 9, 1966, approved the redevelopment plan for the Northside Redevelopment Project~ No. 1, Va. R-39, Portsmouth, Virginia, adopted by Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body for consideration and approval a copy of an amended redevelopment plan for the project area adopted January 2, 1979 by the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing ~uth~rity; and WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 5 has been carefully reviewed by this Council and said redevelopment plan~, as amended, con- forms to the general plan for development of the City as a whole; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has resolved that this amendment is consistent with the improvement effort in the Northside Project; and WHEREAS, in the interest of the City be approved. judgment of this Council, it is in the and its inhabitants that said Amendment NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Amendment No. 5 to the Redevelop- ment Plan for the Northside Redevelopment Project, having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby found: (a) Project, adoption That the objectives of the Northside Redevelopment Portsmouth, Virginias can be better achieved by of said Amendment.
