TH~iAS Bo VIZ~ASCO TO <br />OPERATE A PRIVATE RESID~CE AND HOME FOR THE ELDERLY NEAR THE t~±~SECTt(~ <br />OF UTAH STR~±' AND KINGMAN AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~r. and ~rs. Thomas B. Velasco, made an application pursuant <br />to Section 40-75(b), Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for <br />the granting of a use pe~uit as hereinafter-described; and <br /> <br /> I~TEt~EAS, the applicants and the Planning Director have done all ~hings <br />required to be done in connection with said application; and <br /> <br /> ¥.~SRIEAS, the Planning Con~ssion has re~ded the granting of said <br />use permit. <br /> <br /> NC~q, T~IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br />sought: <br /> <br />That the use for which the use permit hereinafter-described is <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety of persons <br />residing and workina in thenelgbborhoodof' the proposed use; <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injurious to <br />property and improvements in the neighborhood; and <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of <br />the City_ Code. <br /> <br /> 2. That Mr. ~d Mrs. Thomas B. Valasco are hereby granted a use permit <br /> pursuant to Section 40-750a), Code of the City of Portsmouth, 1973, to operate <br /> a private residence and home for the elderly on property hereinafter-described: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast corner of Utah Street <br /> and Turnpike Road; thence no~--~herly along Utah Street <br /> 175 feet; thence easterly 200 feet; thenee southerly <br /> 175 feet to Turnpike Road; thence wesnerly 200 feet <br /> to U~/a Street; the Point of Origin. <br /> <br /> Also known as 3736 Turnpike Road. <br /> <br /> 3. This use pemnnit is approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> (1) No more than nine (9) elderly female guests shall ~e in <br />the convalescent and nursing home. <br /> <br /> <br />
