26 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE OF GIANT <br />OPEN AIR MARKETS, PANCAKE HOUSE, JUDDY RODMAN, ALL <br />EMPLOYEES EMERGENCY PERSONNEL, AND VOLUNTEERS DURING T~E <br />RECENT SNOW STORM: EXTENDING THE DEEP APPRECIATION AND <br />GRATITUDE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHERFJkS, the City of Portsmouth recently experienced <br />what has been described by many residents as the worst snow <br />storm of this century; and <br /> <br /> WHE~AS, during this period citizens of the City were <br />in need of food, emergency services and other necessities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the herein-named businesses and residents vol- <br />unteered to open their doors and provide assistance to their <br />neighbors in the community during this time of emergency to <br />provide invaluable services. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth that the outstanding service~of the Gian~ Open <br />Air Market, Pancake House, Juddy Rodman, all c±%y employees <br />emergency personnel and volunteers is hereby recognize~ and <br />the appreciation of the City of Portsmouth is hereby ex%ended~ <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held March 11, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
