A RESOLUTION G~ANTING A USE PERMIT TO ITT GWALTNEY, INC., TO OPERATE A FOOD PROCESSING (RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT) AND WAREHOUSING PLANT ON EL~4HURST LANE. WHEREAS, ITT Gwaltney, Inc., pursuant to Section 40-68.1(e) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, has petitioned for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said appli- cation; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of th~ City of Portsmouth, Virginia: (1) sought: That the use for which the permit hereinafter is (a) Will not adw safety of persons residing of the proposed use; injurious and (b) Will not be to property or im (c) Will be in a rsely affect the health and working in the neighborhood trimental to the public use or ~ovements in the neighborhood; cord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City ~ode.
