Adderhotdt, Jr., <br /> WHEREAS,~Zlo P~:--~n ~ursuant to section 40-72(~) <br />~hitect, ma~e an app~ ~ ~- ~ as amended, ~or <br />of the uo~e u~ ~ ~ =s hereinafter-~escrlDeu, ~ <br />the granting o~ a use ~u~ ~ <br /> W~EREAS, the applicant and Planning Director have done <br /> all things required to be done in connection with said appli- <br /> cation; and <br /> WHERF~AS, the Planning Commission has recom~ended the <br /> granting of said use permit. <br /> NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter- <br /> described is sought: <br /> (a) will not adversely affect the health and safety <br /> of persons residing and working in the neighborhood of the <br /> proposed use; <br /> (b) will not be detrimental to the public use or <br /> in~urious to the property or improvements in the neighborhood; <br /> and <br /> (c) will be in accord with the purposes of the <br /> Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> 2. That Zion Baptist Church is hereby granted a use <br /> permit pursuant to Section 40-72(b) of the Code of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, 1973, to operate a church and place of worship <br /> on property described herein subject to the conditions set <br /> forth in paragraph (3) of this resolution. <br /> Beginning at the northeast corner <br /> of King and Green Streets; thence north <br /> along the east right-of-way of Green Street <br /> 115', more or less; thence east 100'; <br /> thence south 115',°m°re or less~ to the <br /> north right-of-way of King Street; thence <br /> west along said right-of-way to Green <br /> Street, the point of origin. <br /> <br /> <br />
