58 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR T~E CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF HOLLADAY STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, James E. Dillon and Patricia W. Dillon have <br />made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter- <br />described portion 'of~ Holladay Street, and it appearing that <br />notice of application and request for the appointment of <br />viewers was duly posted on the 13th day of July, 1981, on <br />the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, the General District Court, Civil Division, of the <br />City of Portsmouth and the City Hall of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Howard L. Davis, <br />George N. Powers, Sr., Clarence Robinson and James Moss be <br />appointed viewers, and that Henry P. Crowe and J. R. Wilkerson <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter- <br />described portion of Holladay Street and to report to this Council <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br />HOT J.~DA¥ STREET <br /> <br /> That portion of Holladay Street begznning at a <br />point 240 feet west from the intersection of Holladay <br />Street and Williamsburg Avenue (formerly Second Avenue) <br />and extending from said point in a westerly direction <br />to the center of the channel of Scotts Creek. The <br />aforesaid portion of Holladay Street abuts the property <br />of the applicants which lies on the southerly side <br />of Ho!laday Street and is identified as Parcel <br />0010 on Tax Plate 058. (S-81-3) <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held July 28, 1981. <br /> <br />Teste:- <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
