82 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND <br />POWER COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING UNDERGROUND <br />ELECTRIC UTILITY SERVICE AT THE HARBOR TO~RAPARTMENT <br />BUILDING. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns an easement along <br />the Portsmouth Seawall adjacent to the property of Crawford <br />Harbor Associates; and <br /> <br /> WHE~qEAS, it is necessary to install underground electric <br />utility service lines on said property to serve the Earbor <br />Tower Apartment Building being constructed on. the property <br />of Crab, ford Earbor AsSociates because there are no public or <br />private rights-of-way convenientlyaccessible to the property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Underground electric utility service lines <br />and cables will be constructed and located in such manner so <br />as not to interfere with the right of the City to use said <br />property %o maintain and repair the Seawall. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Virginia Electric and Power <br />Company is hereby granted an easement over, under and across <br />the property described on the attached plat designated as <br />"Right-Of-Way Plat No. 36391 of the Virginia Electric and <br />Power Company for the Purpose of Installing Underground <br />Electric ~itity Service at the Harbor Tower Apartment <br />Building". <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to execute such easement agreements <br />as may be necessary to complete this transaction. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 28, 1982. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
