64 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A MASCOTT STREET AND FREDERICK BOULEVARD. PORTION OF WHEREAS, the Ci%y~f Portsmouth has made application to vaca~e~ close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets, and it appearing that adver- tisement of notice of application and request for the ap- pointme~t of viewers was duly published in the Virginian Pitot-Le-dger Star, a newspaper of general circulation mn the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, on July 2Otb and July 26th, 19S2~ according to law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Charles R. Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. Irvine Smith be appointed viewers, and that James Moss and R. E. B. Stuart be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of such streets and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion ahy~ and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: ~,~LA'SCOTT STREET (FOI~ERLY CLOVER STREET) Ail that certain portion of MaScott Street Clo~er (formerly . FREDERICK BOULEVARD Ail that certain portion of Frederick Boulevard shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Existing City of Portsmouth Right-of-Way to be Vacated", dated April 20, 1982, prepared by the Engineering and Tech- nical Services Department of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as parcel A.
