A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN <br />SUBAQUEOUS REAL PROPERTY TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />'OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia has conveyed to the <br />City of Portsmouth certain real property located in the City <br />of Portsmouth in the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property is suitable for industrial develop- <br />ment in the City as directed by the Industrial Development <br />Authority of the City of Portsmouth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~2.09 (c) of the Charter of the City of Ports- <br />mouth provides that property may be conveyed to the Commonwealth <br />of Virginia or a political subdivision thereof without advertise- <br />ment and receipt of bids; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the City <br />of Portsmouth is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virg!nia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby <br />is, authorized to convey to the Industrial Development Authority <br />of the City of Portsmouth the following described property, to-wit: <br /> <br /> A certain lot, piece or parcel of land, <br />together with all riparian rights incident <br />thereto, lying, situate and being in the <br />Western Branch of the Elizabeth River in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, shown on a <br />certain plat recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, in Map Book 7, at page 6, lying <br />between the mean low water mark and the <br />Harbour Line as shown on said plat, said <br />property being more particularly described <br />with reference to said plat as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point at the intersection <br />of the eastern line of the right-of-way of <br />Chautauqua Avenue and the northern line of the <br />right-of-way of Bayview Boulevard as shown on <br />the aforesaid plat; and from said point running <br />along the northern line of said right-of-way of <br />Bayview Boulevard, S. 89° 12' W., a distance of <br />70.19 feet to a point; thence running N. 4° 58' W.. <br />to the mean low water mark of the Western Branch <br />of the Elizabeth River (the "point of beginning"), <br /> <br /> <br />
