A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 OF T~LE CODE'OF THE CITY OF PORTS- <br />MOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SkID PROJECT BEING A CONVERSION TO <br />TWO CONDOMINIUMS AT 246-248 BROAD STREET AND DESIGNATED AS <br />GHP-84-19. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Broad Street Partnership by Richard Moleneer, <br />has made application pursuant to Section 40-55 of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for the granting and <br />approval of a group housing project consisting of a two unit <br />condominium at 246-248 Broad Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met the requirements of S40-55 of <br />the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such appli- <br />cation and site plan submitted therewith, and has recommended <br />approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval <br />of a group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 grants only an <br />exemption from certain reguire~ents for res±dences as stated <br />in skid Section and does not constitute a waiver of any other <br />requirement embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning <br />Ordinance, Code of tke C~ty of Portsmouth, or any other appli- <br />cable, local, state or federal law or regulation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits or <br />any other required permit will be issued only ~pon compliance <br />with the ordinances, laws, or regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bv the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group housing project <br />consisting of a two unit condominiu~ to be constructed at 246- <br />248 Broad Street and designated as GHP-84-19 and more specific- <br />ally described in correspondence from Richard Mo!eneer, Metro <br />Development Corporation, and shown on plans filed with the appro- <br />priate officials of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, such being <br />made a part hereof, is hereby granted approval subject to the <br />following term and condition: <br /> <br /> 1. A standard site improvement plan must be su~itted <br />for approval to the Engineering & Technical Services Depart- <br />ment of the City, and such plan shall include provisions for <br />parking in accordance with the requirements of the City Code. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held January 8, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
