125 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A 16' ALLEY ON <br />THE WEST SIDE OF TYRE NECK ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, P.H. Boyette, Jr. & Company, Incorporated has <br />made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described alley, and it appearing that notice of <br />application and request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A.N. Kendrick, James Moss, <br />Clinton J. Fortune, Matthew L. Peanort, and L.A. Clark be <br />appointed viewers and that Charles R. Hudgins and H.J. <br />Hairston be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to <br />r. eport to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />16' Alley on West Side of Tyre Neck Road <br /> <br /> That portion of the alley 16' in width <br />situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />which extends east and west through the center <br />of block 21 as shown on the plat of the <br />Churchland Land Company, recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Cou~t of the <br />City of Chesapeake in Map Book 18, page 85, <br />which lies between the west side of Tyre Neck <br />Road and a line d~awn parallel thereto and <br />distant 305' west of the west side of Tyre <br />Neck Road. The portion of the alley to be <br />closed is shown on tax map 818 and lies <br />between parcels 1, 2 and 3 on the north and <br />parcels 10 and 12 on the south. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 22, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
