115 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />AUGUSTA TERRACE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Albert L. Collins has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Augusta Terrace, and it appearing that notice of <br />application and request for the appointment of viewers has <br />been duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A.N. Kendrick, Albert J. <br />Cart, Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr., and C.L. Knight <br />appointed viewers and that H.G. Hairston and Richard D. <br />Ottavio be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter described portion of such street and to <br />report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />Western Portion of Augusta Terrace. <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />being designated as that portion of Augusta <br />Terrace (formerly High Street) running west <br />from its intersection with Augusta Avenue <br />(formerly Page Avenue) to its western <br />termination at a cove of the Western Branch of <br />the Elizabeth River between Blocks 2 and 10 as <br />shown on the plat of the Portsmouth Suburban <br />Investment Company, duly recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 4, <br />page 94. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 8, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
