A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT <br />PURSUANT TO S40-55 OF THE CODE OP THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT BEING AN 8 UNIT CONDOMINIUM TO <br />BE CONSTRUCTED AT 321-~35 GREEN STREET AND DESIGNATED AS <br />GHP-84-20. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John S. Joannou, by Gerald F. Martin, AIA, has <br />made application pursuant to §40-55 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for the granting and approval <br />of a group housing project consisting of 8 condominium units <br />on property designated as 321-335 Green Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met %he requirements of §40-55 <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such <br />application and site plans submitted therewith and has <br />recommended conditional approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the developer has been informed that approval <br />of a group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 grants only an <br />exemption from certain requirements for residences as stated <br />in said section, and does not constitute a waiver of any <br />other requirement embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, <br />Zoning Ordinance, Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />or any other applicable local, state or federal lam- or <br />regulation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware %hat building permits <br />or any other required permit will be issued only upon compliance <br />with the ordinances, laws or regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group housinq <br />project consisting of 8 condominium units to be constructed <br />on a parcel of land consisting of 20,767 square feet at 321- <br />335 Green Street, and designated as GHP-84-20, and more <br />specifically described in correspondence from Gerald F. <br />Martin, AIA, dated October 9, 1984, and shown on glans filed <br />with the appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, such being made a part hereof, is hereby granted <br />approval subject to the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. A standard site improvement plan must be submitted <br />for approval to the Engineering & Technical Services Department <br />showing the appropriate easements and existing utilities. <br /> <br /> 2. The permanent easement for ingress and egress as <br />shown on the plot entitled "Subdivision of Parcel 1 Northside <br />Redevelopment Project - Part 1 - Va. R-39", prepared for the <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority by R. Kenneth <br />Weeks, dated June 7, 1977, shall remain open ~or ingress and <br />egress at all times. <br /> <br /> <br />
