AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OP THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY ADDING TO CHAPTER 14 THEREOF, SECTION 14-42.1 <br />PERTAINING TO THE ESTABLISF~ENT OF PEES FOR USE OF THE ANIMAL <br />CREMATORY. <br /> <br /> BE tT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the Code of the City of Pcrtsmouth, 1973, be <br />amended by adding to Chapter 14 thereof, Section 14-42.1 to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 14-42.1. Rates for disposal of small dead animals. <br /> Whenever small dead animals are to be disposed of by the <br />City from businesses and commercial establishments as defined <br />in Section 14-1 of this Code, or from persons other than resi- <br />dents of the City, a fee of seven dollars ($7.00) per animal <br />delivered to the animal crematory; or ten dollars ($10.00) per <br />animal collected by the City, shall be charged. <br /> Such small dead animals shall be placed in a properly <br /> sealed ~lastic or polyethylene refuse bag or other suitable <br /> container. <br /> Ad6pted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> at a meeting held April 9, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
