AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 23-13, <br />23-520, 23-523, 23-525, AND 23-529 OF CHAPTER 23 THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Sections 23-13, 23-520, 23-523, 23-525 and <br />23-529 of Chapter 23 of the Code of Virginia be amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 23-13. Use of certain streets by motor trucks. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or <br />corporation to drive or operate a motor truck of gross <br />weight of ten thousand (10,000) pounds or over (empty or <br />loaded) upon any of the following named streets in the city, <br />except for the purpose of receiving loads or making <br />deliveries: <br /> <br /> ArlingEon Place between Airline Boulevard and Frederick <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Belle Street between Romanesque Street and Phillips <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Booker Street between Constitution Avenue and <br />Industrial Avenue. <br /> <br /> Brighton Street between Airline Boulevard and Frederick <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Cavalier Boulevard between Chesapeake city limits and <br />Rapidan Street. <br /> <br /> Chancellor Street between Douglas Avenue and Wool <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Cleveland Street between Lee Avenue and Mt. Vernon <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Dartmouth Street between Airline Boulevard and <br />Frederick Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Douglas Avenue between Hartford Street and Commerce <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Douglas Avenue between Portland Street and North <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Douglas Avenue between Watson Street and Chancellor <br />Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
