1985-64 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO _~4END AND REORDAIN SECTION 21-54(a)(b) OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, <br />PERTAINING TO BINGO GAMES AND RAFFLES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> 1. That Section 21-54(a)(b) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 21-54. Exception as to bingo games and raffles <br /> conducted by certain organizations. <br /> <br /> (a) Nothing in this article shall apply to a bingo <br />game or raffle conducted in accordance with the provisions <br />of Article 1.1, Chapter 8, Title 18.2, Section 18.2-340.1 <br />through Section 18.2-340.14, Code of Virginia, 1950, as <br />amended. <br /> (b) There is hereby adopted by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth for the purpose of establishing rules and <br /> regulations for the conduct of bingo games or raffles, <br /> Article 1.1, Chapter 8, Title 18.2, Sections 18.2-340.1 <br /> through Section 18.2-340.14, Code of Virginia, 1950, as <br /> amended, and the same is hereby adopted as fully as if set <br /> out at length herein and the provisions thereof shall be <br /> controlling within the corporate limits of the City. <br /> <br /> e <br /> <br />City of <br />effect. <br /> <br /> Portsmouth, virginia, <br /> <br /> 3.
