106 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />BOURBON STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Bourbon Street, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the <br />appointment of viewers was duly advertised as required by <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Charles <br />R. Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. E. B. Stewart <br />be appointed viewers and that C. L. Knight and Simon P. Arrington <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said vie~Ters to view the hereinafter- <br />described portion of such street and to report to this Council <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what in- <br />convenience would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> BOURBON STREET <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />comprising that portion of Bourbon Street that <br />is shown on that certain plat entitled "Plat <br />Showing A Portion Of Bourbon Street To Be Closed <br />For Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority", <br />prepared by the Engineering and Technical Services <br />Department of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />dated August 16, 1984, more particularly described <br />as being that portion of Bourbon Street lying be- <br />tween the western boundary of Terry Street and the <br />eastern boundary of Dunkin Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held October 9, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
