99 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF CE~M~ETERY LA,NE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close, and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Cemetery Lane, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the <br />appointment of viewers was duly advertised as required by <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Eendirck, James <br />Moss, Clinton J. Fortune, Matthew L. Peanort, and L. Ao <br />Clark be appointed viewers, and that Simon P. Arrington and <br />George N. Po~ers, Sr. be appointed alternate viewers in the <br />event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, <br />said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of <br />such street and to report to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />CF~ETER¥ LANE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, beginning at a point on the south side <br />of Cemetery Lane 176.63' north 86046'48'' east <br />from the southeast intersection of Cemetery <br />Lane and Fort Lane; thence north 03°13'12'' west <br />31.1'; thence north 86043'26'' east 8'; thence <br />south 03016'23'' east 1.I'; thence north 86046'48'' <br />east 115.45' to the west side of Effingham Street; <br />thence south 03032'49'' east 30'; thence south <br />86~46'48'' west 123.62' to the Point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 25~ 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
