72 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LEASE/PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN SCHOOL <br />BUSES FOR THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Public Schools has made arrangements <br />to acquire fifteen (15) school buses to replace existing fleet <br />equipment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the method of purchase thereof is by lease/purchase <br />agreement for a term of five (5) years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such method of purchase shall not result in <br />further obligation to the City of Portsmouth and may be term- <br />inated by the School Board at its option. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by ~he Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth,'V±~g±nia that the Portsmouth Public School Board <br />be, and it hereby is, authorized to lease/purchase fifteen (15) <br />school buses. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 26, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
