AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF TREXLER AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth hasmade application to <br />vacate, close, and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion <br />Of Trexler Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted May 8, 1984, <br />viewers were appointed pursuant to §15.1-364, Code of Virginia, <br />'1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described portion of <br />Said street and to report in writing whethe in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinu- <br />ing said street; and <br /> <br /> ' '~'WHEREAS, said viewers' have reported in writing that in their <br /> opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and .~ <br /> discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Cit. y <br />~of POrtsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion <br />of Trexler Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> ~ TREXLER AVENUE <br /> <br /> All that portion of Trexler Avenue from its <br /> · lntersectzon with Magnolia Street weste ly to the <br />· '~.%'-'~Southern boundary-of the property of the Department <br /> of Highways and Transportation of the Commonwealth <br /> 'of Virginia (I~-264). <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth hereby <br />.reserves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and privileges <br />to install, maintain, operate, and replace sewer mains, sewer <br />drains, sanitary sewers, storm drains, water mains and laterals, <br />electric power lines and telephone lines within, over, under and <br />across tkat portion of the hereinabove-described street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of %he City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held August 14, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
