Section 4. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to <br />transfer funds, as a temporary loan, from one fund of the City <br />to any other fund of the City, provided the transfer check <br />is countersigned by the City Treasurer. <br /> <br />Section 5. Monies paid to the retired school teachers shall <br />be termed as gratuity and only as a temporary measure. If <br />the State of Virginia takes over this responsibility, this <br />gratuity will cease. <br /> <br />Section 6. To the extent that any monies in the accounts <br />of the School Board derived from sources other than the State <br />of Virginia are unexpended at the end of the fiscal year 1984- <br />85, and, thus, become available for use the next fiscal year, <br />the City's share of the appropriation made for education and <br />scholarships for the next ensuing year shall be decreased by <br />a like amount. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />at a meeting held May 15, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
