AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF A 16' ALLEY ON THE WEST SIDE OF TYRE NECK ROAD. WHEREAS, P.H. Boyette, Jr. & Company, Incorporated has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain 16' alley on the west side of Tyre Neck Road; and WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by this Council on October 22, 1985, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described portion of said all~y and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result from discontinuing the said alley; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion of a certain 16' alley on the west side of Tyre Neck Road be closed and vacated as a public right-of-way. 16' Alley on the West Side of Tyre Neck Road That portion of the alley 16' in width situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, which extends east and west through the center of block 21 as shown on the plat of the Churchland Land Company, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake in Map book 18~ page 85~ which lies between the west side of Tyre Neck Road and a line drawn parallel thereto and distant 305' west of the west side of Tyre Neck Road. The portion of the alley to be closed is shown on tax map 818 and lies between parcels 1, 2 and 3 on the north and parcels 10 and 12 on the south.
