' 123 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF PORTIONS OF' 'BRIGHTON STREET AND SEVENTH STREET. WHEREAS, ABEX Corporation has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter portions of Brighton Street and Seventh Street; and it appearing that notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers has .been duly advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavlo, Simon P. Arrington, Robert McCurdy, James V. McGehee and Raymond Tweed be appointed viewers and that Moses Gibson and George N. Powers, Sr., be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portions of such streets and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: Brighton Street ~and Seventh Street Beginning at a point at the northwest corner of the intersection of Brighton Street and Seventh Street and from said point of beginning thence westerly along the ncrthern right-of~way line of Brighton Street a distance of 259 feet to a point; thence in a southerly direction along a line parallel to the western right-of-way line of Seventh Street a distance of 1.0 feet to a point; thence south 89° 34' 03" east a distance of 265.01 feet to a point; thence in a northerly direction along a line of Seventh Street a distance of 216.50 feet to a point; thence north 239° 1' 55" west a distance of 15.23 fe~t to a point on the said western right-of-way line of Seventh Street; thence in a southerly direction along the western right-of-way line of Seventh Street a distance of 227.5 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning situate at the northwest corner of the intersection of Brighton Street and Seventh Street.
