116 A.RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF P.H. BOYETTE JR. AND CO. INC. TO PURCHASE CITY OWNED PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY SAID PROPERTY (SECOND AVENUE WEST OF TYRE NECK ROAD). WHEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter described real property, which property is no longer required for public purposes and is hereby declared to excess property; and WHEREAS, the said property has been advertised for sale as required by section 2.09 of the charter of the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, P.H..Boyette Jr. and Co. Inc. has offered to purchase said proper~y for the amount of $3,300.00, and to use said property for expansion of existing office building facilities at 3300 Tyre Neck Road; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to have said property developed in this manner. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Dy the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the offer of P.H. Boyette Jr. and Co. Inc. to purchase the hereinafter described real property for the amount of $3,300.00 be, and the s~ame hereby IS, excepted. Said propq~ty being more particularly described as follows: Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, situated, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, beginning at a point where the western lot line of lot 24, as shown on block 21, plat of Churchland Land Company, recorded in map book 18, page 85, in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, projected south would intersect the center line of Second Street, said point being the true point of beqinning; thence south to a point on the northern boundary of the City of Norfolk waterline %asement as described by deed recorded in deed book 508, page 201 in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake; thence northeast along the northern boundary of the waterline easement of the City of Norfolk to a point which intersects the center line of Second Street; thence west along the center line of Second Street to the true point of beginning.
