109 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR A CLOSING OF <br />KING STREET. <br /> <br />A PORTION OF <br /> <br /> ~WHEREAS, the C~ty of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of King Street, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavlo, Simon P. <br />Arrington, Robert McCurdy, James V. McGehee and Raymond Tweed <br />be appointed viewers and that Emmerson Smith and C.L. Knight <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion of such and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br />King Street <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the northwest <br />corner of King Street and Water Street <br />intersection said point being 204.00' south <br />from the southwest corner of High Street and <br />Water Street intersection and also being the <br />True Point of Beginning; thence south 03° 27' <br />50" east 50.00' to a point at the north face <br />of a concrete retaining wall; thence south 86° <br />26' 14" west 216.48' along the north face of <br />the said wall to a point in the right-of-way <br />of Crawford Street; thence north 03° 25' 52" <br />west 50.00' to a point on the northern <br />right-of-way of King Street; thence north 86° <br />26' 14" east 216.45' along the northern <br />right-of-way of King Street to the True Point <br />of Beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 14, 1986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
