108 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A ,~OgTION OF <br />ELLIOTT AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Elliott Avenue, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and request for appointment of viewers has been <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, <br />William Choate, James H. Griffin, James L. Linehan be <br />appointed viewers and that George N. Powers, Sr., and Matthew <br />L. Peanort be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to <br />report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />Elliott Avenue <br /> <br /> Ail those two certain strips of land, <br />being the northern and southern 7' of the <br />present right-of-way of Elliott Avenue, as <br />said roadway is bounded on the east by <br />Frederick Boulevard and on the west by Deep <br />Creek Boulevard. It being intended that <br />Elliott Avenue shall retain a dedicated public <br />street right-of-way of 66' in width as said <br />street runs between Frederick Boulevard on the <br />east and Deed Cree~ BouleVard on the west. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 14, t986. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
