A~OLUTION GRANTI~-A SPECIAL <br /> <br />EXCEPTION TO THE AMERICAN <br /> <br />BANK BUILDIN~ LOCATED AT 444 CRAWFORD STREET FOR OFF-STREET <br />PARKING IN THE DOWNTOWN D-1 DISTRICT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert G. Arnette has made application for the <br />granting of a special exception to the off-street parking <br />requirements for the American Bank Building located at 444 <br />Crawford Street pursu'ant to ~40-121 (b) (IV) in ~he Downtown. <br />D-1 District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the <br />done all things required to be done <br />application; and <br /> <br />Planning Director have <br />in connection with said <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has made a <br />recommendation for the granting of a special exception <br />the off-street parking requirements. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CounCil of the <br />City of~.Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the special exception to be granted: <br /> <br /> (a) Wit-1 not adversely affect the health a~d <br />safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood; <br /> <br /> (b) <br />injurious to <br />neighborhood; <br /> <br /> Will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />the property or improvements in the <br /> and <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accord with the purposes and <br />objectives of the Downtown D-1 District and the Zoning <br />Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. The American Bank Building located at 444 Crawford <br />Street is hereby granted a special exception to the <br />off-street parking requirements in the Downtown D-1 District <br />as provided for in ~40-121 (b) (IV) by the granting of a <br /> <br />variance of all required parking <br />excepti6n being approved subject <br />conditions: <br /> <br /> (a) The American Bank <br />(2) on-site parking spaces. <br /> <br />(b) The American Bank <br /> <br />spaces, such special <br />to the foltowinq <br /> <br />Building will <br /> <br />BuilQ{ng will <br /> <br />additional <br /> <br />parking sp~.ces at <br /> <br />an 0~f~site <br /> <br /> provide two <br /> <br /> lease two (2) <br />parking facility. <br /> <br /> <br />
