A RESOLUTION~APPOINTING VIEWERS-FOR THE CLOSING OF PORTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS: SUMMIT AVENUE, CENTER AVENUE, WILCOX AVENUE, DEWEY STREET, CEDAR AVENUE AND OLYMPIA AVENUE, ALL WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS-FREDERICK MILITARY ACADEMY. WHEREkS, Frederick Foundation, Inc., has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets, and it appearing that notice of application and request for the applontment of viewers has been duly'advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Albert J. Carr, Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr., C.L. '~night and Emmerson-Smith be appointed'viewers and that William Choate and James V. McGehee be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portions of such streets and to report to this Coundil in writing.whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the f611owi~g: Summit Avenue From its point of intersection with Dewey Avenue (as shown on the Plat of Property of The Uirginia Company as recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit;~Court of the City-of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Map Book 1, Page 97) on the west, to a point 150 feet west of Lansing Avenue on the east. Center Avenue From its point of intersection with Dewey Avenue, as shown on that plat as above described, on the west, to a point 125 feet west of Lansing Avenue, on the east. Wilcox Avenue From its point.of intersection with Dewey Avenue, as shown on the plat above describe~, on the west, to its terminus on the east as. shown on the Plat of I.O. Ivey, which plat is duly recorded in the Clerk's Office aforesaid in Map Book 1, Page 96, said point also being on the southern boundary line of property now or formerly owned by Frederick Foundation, Inc.
