69~- RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF WALDRON AVENUE. WHEREAS, Tedfc~d Development Company, Inc., has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter- described portion of Waldron Avenue, and it appearing that Notice of Application and Request for the Appointment of Viewers has been duly advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Waldo Davis, William Choate, James H. Griffin, James L. Linehan and Emmerson Smith be appointed viewers and that Matthew L. Peanort and Clinton J. Fortune be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to this Council is writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: Waidron Avenue Beginning at a point on the north side of Waldron Avenue at its intersection with the west boundary line of p~operty owned by Town & Country Associates, then south 05° 30' 18" east a distance of 20.38'; thence in a westerly direction along the south side of Waldron Avenue for a distance of approximately 535'; thence north 05° 27' 12" east a ~istance of 20 feet to a concrete monument; thence north 84a 30' 08" west for a distance of 528.86' to the point of beginning. Such property being shown on that certain plat entitled "Physical Survey of Eastern Part Lot (Section) 2, All of Lots (Sections) 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7, Block K, Garden Homes, Portsmouth, Virginia, for the Tedford Development Company, Inc.," dated September 25, 1985, prepared by Bench Ma~k, Inc., Virginia Beach, Virginia.
