106' <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS <br />OF AMELIA AVENUE. <br /> <br />FOR THE CLOSURE OF <br /> <br />A PORTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Terry S. and Elizabeth D. McDaniel"and Timothy <br />Rawls Stephenson have made application to vacate, close and <br />discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Amelia Avenue <br />and it appearing that notice of application request for <br />appointment of viewers has been duly advertised as required by <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, <br />James H. Griffin, William Choate and James L. Linehan be <br />appointed viewers and that Harrison Miller and Clinton J. <br />Fortune be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />p~eceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion of said street and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />closing the ~ollowing: <br /> <br />Amelia Avenue <br /> <br /> That certain part of Amelia Avenue beginning <br />at the NE corner of the intersection of Griffin <br />Street and Amelia proceeding north along the <br />western property line adjacent t~ Amelia Avenue of <br />tax plat 322, map 71, lot 28, being property of <br />Terry ~. McDaniet and Elizabeth D. McDaniel, 108.5 <br />feet north from ~ntersectioh; then turning west to <br />continuing across Amelia Avenue to the property <br />owned by Timothy Rawls Stephenson, tax plat 302, <br />map 71, lot 28; turning south along plat of <br />Stephenson 108.5 feet to NW dorner of intersection <br />of Griffin and Amelia Street~to point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 27, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
