101 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF WATSON STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Maury W. Cooke has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of <br />Watson Street, and it appearing that Notice of Application and <br />Request for Appointment of Viewers has been duly advertised as <br />required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, TMEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Charles R. <br />Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and Moses Gibson be <br />appointed viewers and that Robert McCurdy and Emmerson Smith <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />closing the following: <br /> <br />Watson Street <br /> <br /> All that certain lot, piece or parcel of <br />land, with the appurtenances thereunto <br />belonging, lying, situate and being in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, designated as <br />Watson Street (formerly County Street), on <br />that certain physical survey of 701 Ariline <br />Buolevard, Portsmouth, Virginia, dated June <br />10, 1987, and prepared by Steven I. Boone and <br />Associates, P.C., land sdrveyors, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof. The property described herein is also <br />more particularly bounded and described as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the west side of <br />Potomac Avenue (formerly Vermont Avenue) which <br />point is marked by a pipe found at the <br />northeastern most corner of 701 Airline <br />Boulevard and from said point of beginning <br />running thence south 88° 25' 35" west a <br />distance of 56.36 feet to a pin in the eastern <br />line of Airline Boulevard; thence running <br />north 43° 24' 35" east a distance of 58.33 <br />feet to a point, thence continuing on a curve <br />to the right having a radius of 10.00 feet, an <br />arc distance of 24.11 feet to point; thence <br />running south 01° 34' 25" west 36.79 feet to <br />the point and place of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
