7O <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RELEASE A SEWER <br />EASEMENT LOCATED IN THE GOMLEY CHESED CEMETERY EAST OF GEORGE <br />WASHINGTON HIGHWAY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by deed dated June 20. 1950, recorded in Deed <br />Book 215, page 519, in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, the City acquired from <br />the United States of America a certain easement for sanitary <br />sewer line located in the Gomley Chesed Cemetery; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said sewer line has subsequently been relocated <br />and the easement is no longer required for public purposes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manage~ be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign a Deed of Release for that <br />certain sanitary sewer line easement described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at sewer line station 48+20 on <br />the line between Gomley Chesed Congregation <br />and Gate Street; thence south 38° 46' west <br />227' to the approximate center line of the <br />drainage ditch known as "Paradise Creek" on <br />the line between Gomley Chesed Congregation <br />and property now or formerly owned by Margaret <br />A. Bulloch, sewer station 50+47, said sewer <br />line lying approximately 150' southeasterly at <br />right angles from and parallel to the <br />southeasterly property line of U.S. Highway <br />No. 17, also known as "George Washington <br />Highway", said right-of-way running <br />longitudinally across lots 41 and 42 in the <br />subdivision known as "Belport"; length along <br />center line of right-of-way 227'. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held July 14, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
