A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />REID STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Alton F. Catlett has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Reid Street, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo <br />Davis, William Choate, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan <br />be appointed viewers and that L.A. Clarke and Howard Davis be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceeding fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being more particularly described as <br />the southerly portion of Reid Street being the <br />remaining portion of Reid Street not being <br />incorporated into the subdivision "Afton <br />villas" measuring 40 feet in width, 74.27 on <br />the westerly side and 98.35 feet on the <br />easterly side, and being, a part of Block 116 - <br />"A" Map of Cradock. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Counci~ of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ at a meeting held June 23, 1987. <br /> <br />Tes te: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
