A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO THE HEALING TEMPLE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH TO OPERATE A HOUSE OF WORSHIP AT 505 RAPIDAN STREET. 61 WHEREAS, John R. Savage, Minister, on behalf of the Healing Temple Pentecostal Church, has made application pursuant to ~40-7i (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has issued the applicant two earlier use permits for a church on the same property by resolutions adopted on August 28, 1979 and June 22, 1982; and use and WHEREAS, the terms and conditions attached to the 1982 permit were not complied with, thus, invalidating same; WHEREAS, the applicant and the done all things required to be done current application; and Planning Director have in connection with this WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter-described is sought: (a) Will not adversely affect safety of persons residing or working in of the proposed use; the health and the neighborhood (b) will not be detrimental to the public injurious to the property or improvements in the neighborhood; and use or (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. 2. Healing Temple Pentecostal Church is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to ~40-71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth to operate a House of Worship on a .845 parcel of land at 505 Rapidan Street (Tax Map 522, Parcels 56 and 54.1), such parcel being more specifically described as follows:
