49 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF <br />ENGINEERS TO EXPEDITE THE PERMIT APPLICATION OF DOWNTOWN <br />MARINE TO CONSTRUCT BOAT RAMP FACILITIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Army CorDs of <br />facilities on <br />River; and <br /> <br />Downtown Marine has made application to the U.S. <br />Engineers for a permit to construct boat ramp <br />the former Coast Guard Base on the Elizabeth <br /> <br />for <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said facilities will provide additional services <br />citizens of the area for launching small pleasure boats; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said facilities will non extend into the <br />navigable waters of the Elizabeth River. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the United States Army Corps of <br />Engineers is hereby requested to expedite the permit <br />application of Downtown Marine to construct a boat ramp <br />facility. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she <br />hereby is, directed to forward a copy of this resolution to <br />the United States Army Corps of Engineers District Office in <br />Norfolk, Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 12, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
