AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF RANDOLPH STREET AND SEVENTH STREET. WHEREAS, Abex Corporation has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Randolph Street and Seventh Street; and WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted October 27, 1987, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15tl-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of said street and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if what, inconvenience would result from discontinuing said portion of Randolph Street and Seventh Street; and WHEREAS , the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described portion of Randolph Street and Seventh Street be closed and vacated as a public street. Parcel A Beginning at a point at the intersection of the northern right-of-way line of Randolph Street and the western rIght-of-way line of Seventh Street, thence due north along th~ western right-of-way line of Seventh Street a distance of 88.70 feet to a point; thence N 89° 52' 10" E, 11.00 feet to a point; thence due south, 98.70' to a point; thence S 89° 52' 10" W, 11.00 feet to a point in the southerly extension of the western right-of-way line of Seventh Street; thence due north along said southerly extension a distance of 10.00 feet to the point of beginning. -The parcel described above contains 1,086 square feet.
