AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-12 (f) THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO THE ACCUMULATION OF ANNUAL LEAVE FROM YEAR TO <br />~EAR. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that Section 2-12 (~f) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-13. Legal Holidays Generally. <br /> <br /> (f) The amount of annual leave to which any officer or <br />employee is granted may be accumulated and carried over from <br />year to year; provided, however, that all accumulated unused <br />annual leave in excess of forty-four (44) days of annual leave <br />entitlement remaining in the leave account of officer or <br />employee as of December 31st of each year shall be <br />automatically cancelled at the expiration of such year. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 16, 1988. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
