1988-92 <br /> <br />ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-88-12. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That a portion of the Zoning Map attached to and made <br />a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, which now zones as Commercial C-1 the property <br />described in Petition for Zoning Amendment No. Z-88-12 is <br />hereby amended and changes as to show said property zoned as <br />Commercial C-2-K Conditional. <br /> <br /> 2. Th~ property affected by this ordinance is described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Z-88-12 <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at the northeast corner of <br />Portsmouth Boulevard and Greeneland Boulevard; <br />thence north along the east right-of-way of <br />Greenland Boulevard 221 feet; thence east 250.2 <br />feet; thence southerly 143.6 feet to the north <br />right-of-way of Portsmouth Boulevard; thence <br />westerly 35 feet; thence southerly 20 feet; thence <br />westerly 182.06 feet to Greeneland Boulevard, the <br />Point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> 3. Zoning Amendment Ordinance Z-88-12 is conditioned <br />upon the following as proffered by the petitioner: <br /> <br /> a. The use of the property will be limited to boat sales <br />and repairs or any use permitted in the C-1 Zoning District. <br /> <br /> b. An eight (8') foot tall wooden privacy fence will be <br />erected along the rear property line. Existing dense <br />vegetation along a portion of the rear property line may be <br />substituted for fencing. The fence will also extend one <br />hundred (100') feet southwest along the Greeneland Boulevard <br />right-of-way line to screen the premises from nearby <br />residences. <br /> <br /> c. Testing of motors will be limited to the hours from <br />8:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a. m. <br />to 12:00 noon on Saturdays. <br /> <br /> d. No pole mounted signs will be located further than <br />fifty feet (50') from Portsmouth Boulevard. <br /> <br /> <br />
