AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11 (h) OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, vIRGINIA, CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN (ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1988-64 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1988=67) PERTAINING TO <br />ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION - FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: ~~ <br /> 1. That Section 11 (h) of Ordinance No. 1988-64, as <br />amended by ordinance No. 1988-67, the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia Classification and Pay Plan be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 11. Additional Compensationil Firefighters and <br /> Police officers. <br /> (h) Any sworn officer of the Police Department assigned <br /> to the K-9 Corps shall receive 3/4 of an hours pay per day at <br /> the prevailing minimum wage for all care and maintenance of <br /> the assigned animal. <br /> 2.
