AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF KAYTON AVENUE. WHEREAS, Clyde E. close and discontinue Kayton Avenue; and Smith has made application to vacate, the hereinafter described portion of WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted November 10, 1987, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of said street and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result from discontinuing said portion of Kayton Avenue; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no ~nconvenlence would result from closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described portion of Kayton Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. That portion of Kayton Avenue shown on the amended plat of South Highlands ~1, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia in Map Book 18, page 71, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and designated as Kaynon Street upon the official records of said City, which lies between the western line of the street designated on said plat as Howard Avenue and now known as Beacon Road and a line drawn parallel to and distant 150 feet west from the western line of Beacon Road. Said street is shown on tax map 475 and adjoins Parcels 6, 7, and 8 and 33 as shown on said map and is designated as Kayton Stree~ on said map. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held January 26, 1988. Teste: City Clerk
