6 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO WILLIAM C. CREECY TO OPERATE A STORAGE WAREHOUSE AND YARD AND A WHOLESALING AND JOBBING ESTABLISHMENT AT 730-734 FLORIDA AVENUE. WHEREAS, William C. Creecy has made application pursuant to S40-71 (b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as amended, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; and WHEREAS, the applicant and have done all things required with said application; and the Planning Director to be done in connection WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the use for which the use the Council of the permi~ is sought: peusons proposed (a) Will not affect the health and safety of residing or working in the neighborhood of the use; (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injurious to the property or improvements in the neighborhood; and (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. 2. That William C. Creecy is hereby gran%ed a use permit pursuant to ~40-71 (b) ~f the Code of t~ City of Portsmouth, Virginia to operate a storage warehouse and yard and a wholesaling and jobbing establishment at 730-734 Florida Avenue (Tax Map 166, Parcels 43 and 44), such parcel being more specifically described as follows: UP-87-26 BEGINNING on the west side of Florida Avenue 280 feet south from its intersection with Hartford Street; thence west 140 feet to the line of an alley; thence south along said alley 80 feet; thence eas~ 140 feet to the west right-of-way of Florida Avenue; thence north along said right-of-way 80 feet to the Point of Origin.
