33 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF HIGH POINT ROAD~ WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of High Point Road, and it appearing that Notice of Application and RequeSt for Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Charles Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller, and Moses Gibson be appointed viewers and that Casey Lavender and Harry Hopewell, be appointed alternate viewers in'the event one of the p~eceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to this Council in w~iting whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: Ail that certain strip of land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and being that portion of High Point Drive as shown on the Plat of ~inehurst, Section One, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 22, page 93 as follows to-wit: beginning at a point on the southern side of High Point Drive a~ the southeastern corne~ of Lot 32 as shown on the Plat of Pinehurst, Section One; :thence ru~ning in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of Lot 32 a distance of 25 feet to a point; thence running east 50 feet to a point on the western boundary of Lot 19; thence running in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Lot 19 a distance of 25 feet to a point on the northern boundary of High Street; thence ~unning easterly along the northern boundary of High Street a distance of 50 feet to the Point of Beginning.
