A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />AVONDALE ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion Of Avondale Road, and it <br />appearing that Notice of Application and Request for <br />Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by <br /> <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, <br />william Choate, James Griffin, and James Linehan be appointed <br />viewers and that George Powers, Sr., and Howard Davis be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion anv, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain strip of land, situate <br />in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and being <br />that portion of Avondale Road as shown on the <br />plat of Victory Park, Section One, duly <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Chesapeake in Map Book <br />35, page 94, as follows, to-wit: Beginning at <br />a point on the western side of Avondale Road <br />at the southeastern corner of Lot 101 as shown <br />on the plat of Victory Park, Section One, duly <br />recorded iR the Clerk's Office of the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Chesapeake in Map Book <br />35, page 94 and from thence running along the <br />wesnern side of Avondale Road, S 43° 52' 10" E <br />241.74 feet to a Point; ~hence in an easterly <br />direction in a straight line to a point on the <br />eastern side of Avondale Road at the <br />southwestern corner of the properuy belonging <br />to Calvery Evangelical Baptist Church; and <br />from thence running N 43° 52' 10" W along the <br />eastern side'of Avondale Road 266.32 feet to <br />the soushwestern corner of Lot 107 as shown on <br />the nlat of Victory Park, Section One; thence <br />In a westerly direction in ~ straight line to <br />the southeastern corner of Lot 101 as shown on <br />the ulat of Victory Park, Section One, the <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
