76 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />HARDING AVENUE, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Chemicals Company has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Harding A~enue, and it <br />appearIng that Notice of Application and Request for <br />Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by <br /> <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, <br />William Choate, James Griffin and James Linehan be appointed <br />viewers and that Clinton J. Fortune and James P. Ely, be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br /> A portioh of Harding Avenue being the <br />Southern 15 feet of Harding Avenue between <br />Progress Avenue on the East and Mariner Avenue <br />On the West, and thereby reducing the <br />~ight-of-way of said Harding Avenue from 80 <br />feet to 65 feet. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Pe~tsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held December 13, 1988. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
