43 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY <br />LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF CHAUTAUQUA AVENUE TO THE <br />PORTSMOUTH PORT AND INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION. <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter-described real <br />property located on the east side of Chautauqua Avenue, which <br />property is the longer required for public purposes and is, <br />hereby, declared to be excess property; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property may be combined with adjacent <br />property owned by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial <br />Commission for development purposes; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the City for said property to be <br />developed for port and related uses. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />is, authorized to convey <br />the Portsmouth Port and <br /> <br />it resolved by the Council of the City <br />that the City Manager be, and hereby <br />the hereinafter-described property to <br />Industrial Commission, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots, pieces or parcels <br />of land, situate, lying and being in the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered <br />and designated at Lots 51, 52, and 53 as <br />shown on the plat of the Shea Estate recorded <br />in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court <br />of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map <br />Book 5, Page 19. Said parcels containing a <br />total of 7,817.59 square feet. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and <br />hereby is, authorized to sign such deeds and other documents <br />as may be necessary to carry out the intent of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held June 13, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
