33 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />HALIFAX AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has ma~e application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Halifax Avenue, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Thaddeus J. <br />Lawrence, Richard Todd, James T. Vick and Lester Harrington be <br />appointed viewers and that William Choate and James Linehan, <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />closing the following: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southeast corner of <br />Queen Street and Halifax Avenue, thence S 03° <br />24' 18" W 33.33' to the proposed north <br />right-of-way of High Street, thence along the <br />proposed right-of-way of High Street N 47° 04' <br />05" W 24.54' to a point of curvature, thence <br />along a curve to the right having a radius of <br />10.00', an arc distance of 24.52' to the point <br />of cusp; thence along the prolongation of the <br />south right-of-way of Queen Street S 86° 35' <br />42" E 12.56' to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held April 11, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
