24 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF REDWOOD <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Marina Properties, Inc. and Sinclair Tetecable, <br />Inc. have made application to vacate, close and discontinue <br />the hereinafter-described Redwood Avenue, and it appearing <br />that Notice of Application and Request for Appointment of <br />Viewers has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Melville A. <br />Bunting, Lee Batts, Casey Lavender, and Roy Leinhart be <br />appointed viewers and that James V. McGehee and Robert <br />McCurdy, be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter-described street and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any <br />what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br />Redwood Avenue <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast intersection of <br />Adams Street and Redwood Avenue, thence in a <br />northerly direction 335 feet; thence westerly <br />60 feet; thence in a southerly direction 335 <br />feet; thence easterly 60 feet to point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held March 14, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
